Live Speech to Text Transcription

The live speech to text transcription service consists of simultaneously creating a written transcript of the course attended by the student who, because of their deafness, cannot access the course’s audio content. This transcript is available on computer media, so this service is offered remotely.

The live transcription service is only for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (SDHH). Once the live transcript has been completed, it is made available in a digital document for the duration of the semester. This service is offered remotely, so it is ideal for synchronous remote courses.

To access this service, contact your school’s Adapted Services office.
