Adapted Tutoring

Adapted tutoring services for literature courses are available for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (SDHH). They provide additional assistance to those SDHH who need it to attain the competencies required for each course and to maintain an acceptable level of written French. Tutoring supports SDHH in passing literature courses and the épreuve uniforme de français.

Tutoring is given in Quebec Sign Language (LSQ) or in oral mode by a person who masters both modes of communication. As needed, the tutor will work on different study, reading, or writing strategies. Weekly tutoring meetings will be supervised by a CCSI pedagogical counsellor.

Ad hoc appointments may also be scheduled for SDHH enrolled in the tutoring service.

To access this service, contact your school’s Adapted Services office.
